Matthew is an avid ultrarunner, having finished multiple 50k races, one 50 mile race, and various mountain adventures, including circumnavigating Mont Blanc in 5 days. When he isn’t running these distances, he is volunteering or crewing at various ultra-distance races in the area. Even more than running is the enjoyment Matthew gains from crewing/supporting others in their long distance running goals. Matthew states, “Being able to go to the mountains on the weekends, whether to run or play a support role, gives me the opportunity to disconnect and recharge so I can embrace technology during the week.” For more information about races and volunteer opportunities here in Oregon visit Daybreak Racing or Go Beyond Racing.
