Sophie von Bergen has joined the law office of Stoll Berne as an associate attorney. Her practice will focus on complex litigation matters.

Prior to joining Stoll Berne, Sophie was a judicial extern to the Honorable U.S. Magistrate Judge Stacie F. Beckerman (U.S. District Court, District of Oregon) where she researched and drafted opinions in civil cases and was a summer associate with Stoll Berne. She also served as a legal intern at Lewis & Clark Law School’s Small Business Legal Clinic where she advised clients on intellectual property issues, drafted contracts, and registered trademarks before the USPTO under supervision. She was a law clerk at the Northwest Workers’ Justice Project.

She attended Occidental College where she had two internships at civil litigation firms in Los Angeles. She was also a research assist to a politics professor with whom she co-authored a book chapter and an article which they presented in Sweden at the European Conference on Politics and Gender.

She received her law degree, summa cum laude, from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College and her undergraduate degree from Occidental College, cum laude.
