Elizabeth is a shareholder in the firm’s litigation group where she focuses on complex litigation matters. Central to her practice is her ability to understand and prioritize her clients’ goals. She uses a pragmatic, results-oriented approach to pursue meaningful results for her clients and respond to the many issues that arise in complex cases.
Elizabeth’s practice focuses on claims involving environmental pollution, business and contract disputes, class actions, and securities fraud. She was an integral part of the team pursuing claims on behalf of the State of Oregon against Monsanto Company for PCB contamination, which rendered a nearly-$700 million settlement for Oregon (the largest environmental settlement in state history). She is actively litigating claims for PCB contamination for the states of Maryland and Delaware, and represents Oregon against 3M, DuPont, and several other corporations for environmental contamination from PFAS. Elizabeth is also a member of the team pursuing class action claims for investors in the nearly $1.8 billion GPB Funds Ponzi scheme.
Elizabeth uses her insights from high-dollar cases against some of the nation’s most powerful companies and law firms to serve all of her clients, no matter the size or focus of the case. Recognizing the impact that a business has on a client’s livelihood, she particularly enjoys helping clients in commercial litigation. With deep experience across all phases of litigation, Elizabeth’s clients and colleagues value her diligence, strategic thinking, and attention to detail.
Prior to joining Stoll Berne, Elizabeth served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge David W. Christel (U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington) as well as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jolie A. Russo (U.S. District Court of Oregon).
