Maddie is an associate attorney and focuses her practice on complex litigation matters.

Prior to joining Stoll Berne, she was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Scott Shorr (Oregon Court of Appeals) where she researched and drafted appellate opinions. Maddie, as a certified law student, represented clients in misdemeanor criminal cases for the Metropolitan Public Defender’s office. She was a law clerk with the Criminal Justice Reform Clinic, a research assistant for Professor Ozan Varol, J.D., and a legal extern with the Medical Legal Partnership of Oregon. In those roles, she worked on clemency petitions for incarcerated persons, researched constitution law issues, and worked on civil legal issues affecting low-income individuals.

Maddie received her law degree, summa cum laude, from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College and her undergraduate degree from Otterbein University, magna cum laude. During undergraduate school, she spent a semester abroad at Maastricht University in The Netherlands.
