Elizabeth is an associate in the firm’s litigation group where she focuses on complex litigation matters. Elizabeth uses a pragmatic, deliberate, and results-oriented approach to complex cases. She was an integral part of the trial team pursuing claims on behalf of the State of Oregon against Monsanto Company for PCB contamination, which rendered a nearly-$700 million settlement for the State (the largest environmental settlement in Oregon history). Elizabeth continues to litigate claims for PCB contamination against Monsanto Company for the State of Maryland and the City of Seattle. She is also a member of the team pursuing class action claims on behalf of investors in the nearly $1.8 billion GPB Funds Ponzi scheme action. Elizabeth has assisted clients with various business litigation matters, as well.
Elizabeth has a wealth of experience across all phases of litigation, including conferring with large corporate entities over the scope of discovery, defending clients at depositions, and helping them prepare their testimony for trial. Elizabeth has prepared and argued numerous successful motions and response briefs.
Prior to joining Stoll Berne, Elizabeth served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge David W. Christel (U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington) as well as a judicial extern to the Honorable Jolie A. Russo (U.S. District Court of Oregon). She also served as a law clerk for a law firm in Springfield, OR, focusing on business and local government matters.
