Apartment Development Project

Ben Leedy represented the developer of a four-story apartment building from the construction and development of the project through the sale of the property to an institutional investor shortly after completion. The firm’s representation included negotiating the purchase and sale agreement, working with the buyer and the title company to facilitate the issuance of the buyer’s desired title insurance coverage, preparing and obtaining construction lien releases, advising the client regarding structuring the sale closing to allow sales proceeds to be applied to the final payment due under the construction contract, drafting closing documents, preparing escrow instructions and coordinating the closing of the sale transaction.
