Steve Larson represented the owner of an Alzheimer’s Senior Residential Care Facility in a breach of contract action against the company that managed the facility. The arbitration statement of claim alleged that the actions of the management company had resulted in the State of Oregon issuing an order prohibiting further admittances until certain quality of care issues were resolved. After testimony from the owner’s expert witness on damages, the arbitrator entered an award of $750,000 on behalf of the firm’s client.
