Stoll Berne helped client Quicksilver Contracting Co. obtain over $720,000 in biomass collector tax credits after the Department of Energy denied Quicksilver’s application for tax credits. Stoll Berne attorney Steve Berman sought review of that decision in the Klamath County Circuit Court, and the court granted summary judgment for the firm’s client. The Department of Energy appealed to the Oregon Court of Appeals. Berman briefed and argued the appeal before the Court of Appeals, and the Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court’s decision, awarding the tax credits. Quicksilver Contracting Co. v.
