Stoll Berne and their co-counsels’ work ultimately resulted in a jury verdict finding PacifiCorp liable to the class of survivors of four fires and awarded a combined $90 million in compensatory and punitive damages to the 17 plaintiffs appointed to represent the class. When factoring in the damages available to the class, it would be the largest civil jury verdict in Oregon history.
